CHARLOTTE, NC — WCCB Charlotte has learned City Council may be working on a settlement with the family of Jonathan Ferrell.  He’s the man shot and killed by CMPD Officer Wes Kerrick in 2013.

Council members went into closed session Monday night to talk to city attorneys on how to handle a possible settlement.  No one would comment on the discussion.

Kerrick is charged with voluntary manslaughter.  His criminal trial is set for July.
