
CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Officials say an employee at a Charlotte restaurant tested positive for having the Hepatitis A virus.
An employee at Dogwood Southern Table and Bar on Ashley Park Lane in Charlotte was confirmed to have Hepatitis A.
Officials say the employee did not prepare food but was responsible for cleaning and polishing silverware and drinkware and delivering food to tables.
Health Department officials advise staff members and patrons of Dogwood Southern Table and Bar, who visited the restaurant on the dates and times listed below, may be at risk for developing Hepatitis A if they haven’t been previously vaccinated against the virus.

Tuesday, Feb. 3rd, dinner service, last day to immunize is Tuesday, Feb. 17th.
Wednesday, Feb. 4th, dinner service, last day to immunize is Wednesday, Feb. 18th.
The Mecklenburg County Health Department is offering a walk-in clinic for those who want to receive the vaccination at the Health Department at 249 Billingsley Road in Charlotte Monday from 12-3pm.
Symptoms of Hepatitis A include:
Fever, fatigue, loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, gray-colored stools, dark urine, joint pain and jaundice.
Symptoms are more likely to occur in adults than in children. The symptoms usually last less than two months but can last as long as six months.
