CHARLOTTE, NC — People who may have been exposed to Hepatitis A at a restaurant in south Charlotte can get the vaccine at the Health Department on Wednesday.

An employee at Dogwood Southern Table and Bar has the virus. Β People who ate at the restaurant between February 4th and 10th should get the vaccination. Β The owner says health officials told him the restaurant is not a health risk.

“100 percent. Β The first question I asked at 3:30 on Sunday was, ‘Should we close to the public?’ Β That’s always our first concern. Β They said no, no, no, we should not close to the public. Β We are not at all a public health concern,” said Dogwood owner John Dressler.

Hepatitis A symptoms include fatigue, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, loss of appetite and muscle pain.
