UNION COUNTY, N.C. — Union County Highway Patrol confirms speed was a factor in a crash that killed a Mineral Springs man.
The single-vehicle accident happened on Potter Road South just after 3:30 p.m. Troopers say the 22-year-old man was driving too fast around a curve when his car ran off the side of the road and struck a tree.
Troopers have not identified the victim.
WCCB has a crew at the scene and will update further as details become available.
