CMPD: Man Killed Mother, Then Himself

CHARLOTTE, NC — Family and friends may never know for sure why a man killed his mother and then himself in north Charlotte.Β
CMPD says 43-year-old Christopher Davis shot 68-year-old Francis Davis inside their home on Farmwood Court. Β Neighbors say they wish they could have helped.
“You don’t really know what anybody’s going through if they keep to themselves like that,” said the victim’s neighbor Isaiah Ford. Β “And my dad was thinking the same thing. Β He said, ‘I wish I could have talked to them, put some wisdom in him so he wouldn’t have done that.'”
Police say nobody else was inside the home at the time of the shootings.
