Local Kids Take Advantage of Snow Day

 CHARLOTTE, NC — It wasn’t nine inches of snow, but kids across the Charlotte area still took advantage of the winter weather Thursday.

With a majority of schools closed, children hit their nearest hill for a little sledding.  Parents say they enjoyed watching their kids play in the snow.

“Sledding and snowball fights.  This one wants to be in it!” said Dilworth resident Susan Rukus.

Kids are hoping it doesn’t warm up too much, so they can enjoy what’s left of the snow again Friday.
