Teen Charged in Deadly North Charlotte Shooting

CHARLOTTE, NC — An arrest Friday night in a deadly shooting in North Charlotte.  Police say the suspect and the victim knew each other, but have not said what led to the shooting.

18-year-old Alphonzo Jeeter is charged with the murder of Jeremy Young.  Police were called to a house on Newcastle Street around 1pm Friday afternoon.  They found Young shot inside.

Officers arrested Jeeter nearby after the shooting.
