CHARLOTTE, NC — Project Lift, a public/private partnership between local philanthropists and the Charlotte-Mecklenberg school system, is aimed at closing the achievement gap between students located in West Charlotte and students elsewhere in the city.

Denise Watts, superintendent of Project L.I.F.T., sits down with Terrance Bates to discuss the program and what they are doing to impact students in the Charlotte-Mecklenberg school system.

Watts also discusses their new program, Opportunity Culture, and how teachers can apply.
