ROCK HILL, S.C. — UPDATE: York County Coroner’s Office has released the victim’s name. Timothy Rogers, 26, of Rock Hill was pronounced dead at the scene after losing control of his motorcycle on Reservation Road in Rock Hill.
Troopers say a 26-year-old man riding a motorcycle was killed Wednesday afternoon just after 1:30 p.m. in York County.
The accident happened on Reservation Road, three miles south of Rock Hill.
The victim was not wearing a helmet and died at the scene. Troopers say the motorcyclist was traveling north when he ran off the right side of the roadway, struck a mailbox and overturned back into the roadway.
Officials have not released the victim’s name at this time.
