Man on the Edge: Should Kids Have to Be Vaccinated Before School?

Anti-vaccination parents are upset over a proposed bill that would require them to vaccinate their kids before they can go to school.  Right now, parents can opt out of having their children get vaccinations for religious reasons.  But Senate Bill 346 would stop that.

Parents could still get a medical exemption, but it would be more difficult to get.  Lawmakers behind the bill say there are simply too many cases of diseases like measles and whooping cough that could otherwise be prevented by vaccinations.

Still, some parents are saying the bill is proof that the government is going too far, and that it infringes on their personal rights and religious freedoms.
