Tip Leads To Drug Arrests In Lincolnton

LINCOLNTON, N.C. — A call into a drug tip line helped police catch three alleged drug offenders.

Police conducted surveillance operations outside a home on Hawksnest Lane in Stanley after investigators received several complaints about suspicious activity being conducted at the house.

Officers say they stopped a vehicle that left the home and secured a search warrant for the residence.  

The driver of the vehicle, Michael Kay, was charged with one felony count of possession of a controlled substance.  

Christopher Cline, 23, was inside the home when police executed the search warrant.  He was charged with possession with intent to manufacture, sell and deliver a controlled substance, sell and deliver a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.

Police say they seized one gram of heroin and one gram of meth from the residence.  

Investigators say Dustin Mann, 24, was also in the house and had three and a half grams of marijuana in a backpack packaged for sell.  He was charged with possession with intent to manufacture, sell and deliver a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
