Victim Identified in Deadly Shooting

CHARLOTTE, NC — The search is on for the person who shot and killed a man in northwest Charlotte. Β Someone out for an early morning walk found the body of 28-year-old Muhammad Clyburn on Elswick Lane just before 5:30am.

Clyburn died soon after police arrived on the scene. Β Parents in the area say they’re concerned about the possibility of more crime.

“It was kinda scary, especially that knowing we have a killer on the loose and in our neighborhood. Β We have children out here and it’s scary,” said northwest Charlotte resident Darian Isler.
