Victim Identified in Deadly Shooting

CHARLOTTE, NC — The search is on for the person who shot and killed a man in northwest Charlotte.  Someone out for an early morning walk found the body of 28-year-old Muhammad Clyburn on Elswick Lane just before 5:30am.

Clyburn died soon after police arrived on the scene.  Parents in the area say they’re concerned about the possibility of more crime.

“It was kinda scary, especially that knowing we have a killer on the loose and in our neighborhood.  We have children out here and it’s scary,” said northwest Charlotte resident Darian Isler.
