BESSEMER CITY, N.C. — A Bessemer City High School athletic director accused of kissing and fondling a female student is in jail.  A judge reduced 34-year-old Brandon Scott’s bond from $1 million to $100,000 Tuesday.  He’s charged with indecent liberties with a student.

Gaston County Police believe the offenses happened on school property between October and December of 2014.

“Bessemer City is a good community, it’s a tight-knit community, everybody knows somebody.  It doesn’t look good for the town,” said Bessemer City resident Anthony Garcia.

Scott is currently suspended with pay from his job with Gaston County Schools.  He’ll be back in court next month.
