Shooting Victim Dies, Suspect Charged With Murder

CHARLOTTE, NC —Β A man shot during an argument in northwest Charlotte has died. Β Now, the suspected gunman’s charge has been changed to murder.
CMPD says David McCullough shot Brian Kappauf in the head on Tuesday. Β The shooting happened on Ridgevalley Drive. Β Police arrested McCullough at the scene and charged him with assault with a deadly weapon.
Kappauf died at Carolinas Medical Center Wednesday.
