Cam Newton Celebrates Easter By Playing ‘Knockerball’

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Carolina Panthers’ quarterback Cam Newton spent Easter Sunday colliding with people much like he does on Sundays during the NFL season.

Newton and some friends got together for a spirited game of “Knockerball” or “Bubble Soccer” as it is also known. “Knockerballs” are inflatable plastic balls that people put on their upper bodies before running in to one another, and bouncing apart after impact.

Seems harmless enough, but I’m sure some Panthers’ fans would rather not see their star quarterback partaking in any potentially dangerous activity. The “Knockerball” site claims that the sport is safe and fun, and that the only pain people feel is from laughing so hard.
