Kylie Jenner Defends ‘Blackface’ Instagram Post

Β Kylie Jenner is under fire for posting pictures of herself which appear to show her in blackface. Β Kylie originally posted the picture Saturday night, saying, “What I wish I looked like all the time.” Β When she received backlash, Jenner deleted the photo, but then re-posted it to Instagram saying, “This is a black light and neon lights people lets all calm down.”
Jenner’s friend Zendaya initially gushed over the photo, but changed her tune after fans pointed out the problematic blackface element. Β On Twitter, she said, “At first, I saw more of an avatar look but thank ya’ll for keepin me on point… we all gotta stay aware of what image we project. #lessons”
