BOSTON, M.A. — A verdict has been reached in the trial for Boston bombing suspect, Dzhokhar Tsarnaev. Β It could be several weeks before Tsarnaev finds out whether he will die for his crime, or go to prison for life without parole.
A jury convicted Dzhokhar Tsarnaev on all 30 counts Wednesday. Β The same jury must vote unanimously for a death sentence. Β This month marks two years since the bombings. Β Tsarnaev’s defense focused less on guilt or innocence, but rather his degree of involvement. The defense tried to portray Tsarnaev as being manipulated by his radicalized older brother.
Survivors say they don’t think justice will ever really be served in this case.
“I do believe, however, that he should be held accountable for his actions, and I am very thankful for each of the jury members that are making him do that,” said survivor Rebekah Gregory.
“So closure, I guess, I don’t think so, because it’s forever a part of our life,” said survivor Karen Brassard.

Authorities say Tsarnaev, a Chechnya-born American, and his brother Tamerlan planted two homemade bombs near the finish line of the April 15, 2013 Boston Marathon, killing three and injuring more than 250.
A Massachusetts Institute of Technology police officer was killed three days later, triggering the massive manhunt that led to Tsarnaev’s capture. His brother was shot and killed by police during the manhunt.
