The 23rd edition of Hands On Charlotte (HOC) Day will be held on Saturday, April 18th as part of our observation of National Volunteer Week (April 12-18), which has recognized our countryโs volunteers for their vital contributions since 1974.

Hands On Charlotte Day has been the signature community service and fundraising event of Hands On Charlotte since our 1991 founding. ย Each year as many as 1,000 volunteers spend the day serving at dozens of diverse projects across the city, ranging from sorting donated clothing and landscaping Charlotte schools to clearing neighborhood debris and repairing nature trails.ย

Our Hands On Charlotte Day projects will take place at:
Marie G. Davis Academy (landscaping and “Hands On” crafts projects for kids)
Carolina Raptor Center (trail maintenance)
Second Harvest Food Bank (food sorting) – FULL
Crisis Assistance Ministry (clothes sorting)
Friendship Gardens (weeding and mulching)
