Spieth closed with a 2-under 70 for a four-stroke victory over Phil Mickelson and Justin Rose. The 21-year-old Spieth opened with an 8-under 64 on Thursday, allowing him to become the first wire-to-wire winner since Raymond Floyd in 1976.
HOUSTON (AP) β The San Antonio Spurs continue to lead the NBA’s Southwest Division, a half-game ahead of Houston and Memphis. Tim Duncan had 22 points and 10 rebounds as the Spurs won their 11th in a row, whipping Phoenix 107-91. James Harden scored 30 points in the Rockets’ 121-114 victory against New Orleans, which keeps the Pelicans tied with Oklahoma City for the final Western Conference playoff berth.
