Manchester United leads the AP Global Football 10

LONDON (AP) β€” Manchester United took over the top spot in the Associated Press Global Football 10 for the first time this season after beating crosstown rival Manchester City in the Premier League.

Bayern Munich, which reached the semifinals of the German Cup and then beat Eintracht Frankfurt in the Bundesliga, is second, followed by Lazio in third.

In the player poll, Robert Lewandowski was voted into first place after scoring twice in Bayern’s 3-0 victory over Frankfurt.

Santi Mina, a 19-year-old striker at Celta Vigo, was second after scoring four goals in a 6-1 win over Rayo Vallecano, and Man United forward Ashley Young is third.
