NORTH CHARLESTON, SC — Newly released audio details the conversation between former North Charleston Police Officer Michael Slager and another officer, following the deadly shooting of Walter Scott.  Slager is charged with murder for shooting Scott in the back five times as he ran away following a traffic stop.

In the recording, an unidentified officer talks to Slager about what might happen next.

“The last time we had to wait a couple days to interview, the official interview to sit down and tell what happened.  By the time you get home, it’d probably be a good idea to jot down your thoughts about whatever happened, once the adrenaline stops pumping," said the unidentified officer.

“It’s pumping,” replied Slager.

“Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah.  Oh, yeah," said the second officer.

If convicted, Slager faces life in prison.
