
CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police arrested a man on animal cruelty charges after someone posted a video of him allegedly beating a dog at his home.
The video was posted on social media and brought to the attention of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department Animal Care & Control Division on April 14th.
investigators say the video shows animal cruelty taking place at a home on Simmons Street in west Charlotte.
Charles Davidson was arrested on Wednesday and his dogs will be in the care of Animal Care & Control pending a trial. Detectives say the dog from the video did not have physical wounds or injuries but displayed submissive behaviors.
