SHELBY, NC– Police say a mother and boyfriend where arrested for sexually abusing her child.
Cleveland County Sheriffs say mother, Laura Mims, 27, and boyfriend Andrew Bulgara, 21, were arrested for sexually assaulting her five year old child at Broad River Greenway in Boilings Springs.
After investigation authorities charged Mims with Felony Child Abuse by Sex Act and is being held on a $500,000 bond.
Bulgara was charged with 3 counts of 1st degree sexual offense and is being held on a $750.000 bond.
