Police Seeking Information In Uptown Charlotte Death Investigation

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police are asking for the public’s assistance in a death investigation.

Investigators say Adam Smith approached officers Wednesday on West Morehead Street complaining of medical issues.  Officers on the scene called for MEDIC and Smith was taken to a local hospital where he died.

The Medical Examiner’s Office determined Smith died from blunt force trauma.  

Police are seeking information from the public on the whereabouts of Smith on Wednesday, April 15th.  

He was last seen in the area of Mint and Morehead Streets wearing grey sweatpants and a multicolored sweater similar to the one pictured below.  Detectives say Smith has achondroplasia (dwarfism) and was 4’3″ tall and weighed 85lbs.
