CHARLOTTE, NC — Governor McCrory is lobbying for nearly $3 billion in bonds that would help upgrade roads and education facilities. The Governor made his pitch at UNC Charlotte Monday during a roundtable discussion.
McCrory toured the Burson Science Building, which would be replaced if the bonds pass. The plan could be on the ballot as soon as this Fall.
“This is not a Republican or Democrat issue,” said McCrory (R). “This is an infrastructure and education, parks and military and ports issue that is going to have an impact for generations to come.”
The plan the Governor laid out last week includes $1.5 million for highway bonds, and $1.5 million for infrastructure.
