Hardy was placed on the commissioner’s exempt list after he was arrested on domestic assault charges in Charlotte last season.

Hardy signed with the Dallas Cowboys after the 2014 season.  His first game back from his suspension will be against the Carolina Panthers on Thanksgiving Day.

Hardy was convicted of domestic violence for assaulting his ex-girlfriend, Nicole Holder.  He appealed the decision and the case went to a jury trial. However, Holder did not show up for the trial so all the charges were dismissed.
