BOSTON, MA — Jurors deciding whether the convicted Boston Marathon bomber should die for his crimes heard from a Charlotte woman.

Nicole Gross was the last witness to testify in the first day of the sentencing phase of Dzhokhar Tsarnaev’s trial.  Gross suffered severe leg injuries during the 2013 bombings.

She told the jury that she felt helpless and alone after the blast.  Her sister lost a leg.

The sentencing phase could take a month.
