(CNN) — Former pro football players who suffered serious medical conditions because of repeated head injuries could get up to $5 million from the NFL.
A federal judge signed off on a revised settlement Wednesday. More than 5,000 former players sued the league, accusing it of hiding the dangers of concussions. The settlement also provides eligible retired players with baseline neurological exams.
The list of plaintiffs included more than 100 ex-Panthers like Stephen Davis and Wesley Walls.
