ALEXANDER COUNTY, N.C. —Β One man is in the hospital and two others in custody after trying to steal a chainsaw from a Taylorsville business.Β
The shooting happened at Beasley Power Equipment on Commercial Park Avenue across from the Walmart Supercenter. Alexander County Sheriff Chris Bowman says the man was running out of the business when he was shot. The suspect was flown by helicopter to a nearby hospital.
Officials say two other men were waiting in a car outside. Both men were arrested.Β
The suspects have not been identified.
