
CHARLOTTE, NC– Police say they arrested a married couple for making fraudulent prescriptions.
Delbert Dean Roys and Christie Michelle Roys were reportedly arrested after a traffic stop on I-85.
At the time of the stop the Roys were already under investigation from local police and DEA for numerous charges involving large scale prescription narcotic fraud.
Investigation into the couple showed since August 2014, the Roys made fraudulent prescriptions for oxycodone, hydrocodone, alprazolam and estradiol.
Delbert Roys was charged with two counts of conspiracy to traffic opium and three counts of obtaining controlled substances by fraud, he is currently being held on a $500,000 bond.
Christie Roys was charged with five counts of trafficking opium and three counts of obtaining controlled substances by fraud and four counts of possession with intent within 1000 feet of a school, She is currently being held on a $525,000 bond.
