
ROWAN COUNTY, NC– A man on federal supervised release was arrested on drug charges Wednesday.
After receiving a tip that Tavis Labron Houpe, 38, was involed in narcotic distribution while under federal supervised release, police say they conducted surveillance of Houpe and his residence.
Police say they pulled Houpe over in Cleveland, NC, after a search of the vehicle turned up a gram of crack cocaine authorities conducted a search of his residence on Dooley Road where they seized 22 grams of crack cocaine, a small amount of marijuana and $3,136 in cash.
Houpe was arrested and charged with possession with intent to sell cocaine and maintaining a vehicle/dwelling to sell controlled substances, he was placed on a $50,000 bond.
