CHARLOTTE, NC — Two Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police divisions will begin using body cameras next week.

Officers in the Metro Division will train with the new cameras on Tuesday, then start wearing them on Wednesday.

The Providence Division will start using their body cameras Friday.  The Department ordered 1,400 cameras last month.  They will cost the city more than $7 million over the next five years.
