UNDATED (AP)— In the NHL playoffs, Minnesota and Montreal are heading to the second round. Zach Parise (puh-REE’-see) scored twice in the Wild’s 4-1 win over the St. Louis Blues to set up a rematch of their second-round loss last year to the Chicago Blackhawks. In Ottawa, Carey Price turned away 43 shots in Montreal’s clinching 2-0 win over Ottawa.

AVONDALE, La. (AP) — Justin Rose birdied the final two holes to win the Zurich (ZOOR’-ik) Classic. Rose, who entered the week ranked ninth in the world, completed a 7-under 65 in the rain-delayed third round and closed with a 66 at TPC Louisiana for his seventh PGA Tour title.

MIAMI (AP) — Washington Nationals ace Max Scherzer will likely be scratched from his next scheduled start Tuesday at Atlanta because of a sprained right thumb. The right-hander threw off flat ground before yesterday’s 6-2 loss to Miami but said his thumb is still sore. He jammed it batting Thursday against St. Louis.

RICHMOND, Va. (AP) — Kurt Busch dominated once he took the lead and won the rain-delayed NASCAR Sprint Cup race at Richmond International Raceway. Busch led 291 of the 400 laps and outran Stewart-Haas Racing teammate Kevin Harvick over the final dozen laps. The race was delayed because of rain Saturday night.
