CHARLOTTE, N.C.- In this week’s Waiting Child we introduce you to a young lady who loves animals and being outdoors.

In true ‘animal lover’ fashion, Miikala spends the entire day riding horses.

She says she wants to be either a teacher or a veterinarian when she gets older but there’s just one factor standing in the way, “If I as a veterinarian they will put them down; I can’t do that.”

She currently has only two fish but when she becomes an adult she wants to few more animals, “horse, pig, kids, goats are called kids babies, puppies, cats, dogs, kittens, cows, calfs.”

Mikala is very smart. This year she made straight A’s, bringing her GPA to a 4.2.  Not to mention she’s known how to sign since she was nine years old.
A family is very important to her.  Mikala hopes someone will hear her story and want to become her forever family, “A family to me is someone that loves you and wants to be with you and wants to take care of you and give you guidance and have a roof over you head.”
If you think Mikala would be a good fit for your family contact the North Carolina Children’s Home Society.
Thank you Victory Farm for allowing Mikala to spend the day with your horses.
