LONDON (AP) — Cristiano Ronaldo beat Lionel Messi to the top of the Associated Press Global Football 10 on Tuesday, and Chelsea took team of the week honors after winning the Premier League title.
Ronaldo scored a hat trick for Madrid in the 3-2 victory over Sevilla, after Messi netted twice in Barcelona’s 8-0 rout of Cordoba.
Luis Suarez, who scored his first hat trick for Barcelona in that victory, was third.
Chelsea’s 1-0 win over Crystal Palace secured the Premier League title and first place in the team vote.
Juventus was second after beating Sampdoria 1-0 to win its fourth straight Serie A title, while Spanish league leader Barcelona was third.
