The FBI is searching the Phoenix apartment of an ISIS sympathizer and his roommate. Β Elton Simpson and Nadir Soofi opened fire outside a Prophet Mohammed cartoon contest in Garland, Texas on Sunday.

Simpson was known to the FBI and allegedly sent a tweet before the shooting, using the hashtag #TexasAttack. Β Some claim the contest was purposely provocative and designed to offend Muslims, because many consider any drawing or depiction of Mohammed to be blasphemy.

The event organizer argues that the artists were exercising their First Amendment right to free speech.
