GASTONIA, N.C.– Β Police say a woman was found dead after being struck by a car Sunday afternoon in Gaston County.
The accident happened at the intersection of South Myrtle School Road and West 6th Street. Β
Police say the vehicle left the roadway and struck the female before hitting a house. Neighbors at the scene tell WCCB, the woman was walking her daughter alongside the road before she was hit. They say the victim was a mother of five. Authorities have not said if there will be any charges filed but say they believe the driver of the vehicle had some sort of medical issue.
The accident is still under investigation. Β
