Take Advantage of Animal Care & Control’s Pit Pass Package

The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department’s Animal Care & Control Division (CMPD AC&C) is celebrating the Charlotte May races by offering Free Pit Passes.  For a limited time only you can join our Pit Crew!  Come to the Animal Care & Control shelter, fall in love with a Pit Bull, and you will qualify for a Pit Pass Package!

The Pit Pass Packages are made possible thanks to a generous grant from the George D. Patterson Family Fund.  CMPD AC&C received this grant to help promote finding homes for one of the two most at risk animals/breeds that enter shelters across the country.

On average approximately thirty percent of the canines that enter CMPD AC&C are Pit Bulls or Pit Bull mixes.  This campaign was created to help find homes for our amazing Pit Bulls and to equip our adopters with some of the important items they will need to help make their Pit Bull adoption a huge success and a forever home.   The Pit Package includes a waived adoption fee ($10 pet license fee applies for Mecklenburg County residents.)  We have also teamed up with our partner the Humane Society of Charlotte and are covering the enrollment for 5 training sessions in their SuperDog Club.  This ensures that adopters have a resource for any training issues or questions that may arise and will provide the adopter with a great training foundation for their pup.  The Pit Pass Package is valued at over $300.

Package includes:
Free Adoption (current vaccinations, spay or neuter surgery and microchip)
5 – Training Sessions at the Humane Society of Charlotte’s SuperDog Club
1 – Heavy Duty Martingale Collar and Leash Set
1 – Extreme Extra Large Kong
1 – Collar ID Tag Kit
