CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police say a man is facing charges after his passenger died in a car crash early Tuesday morning in northeast Charlotte. Β
Investigators say Milan Shannon, 21, was driving at an excessive speed on East Mallard Creek Church Road when he lost control of his car, hit a tree and rolled down an embankment.Β
Shannon’s passenger, 20-year-old Devin Johnson, was killed in the crash. Β Shannon was treated for minor injuries. Β Police charged him with driving while impaired, felony death by motor vehicle and reckless driving.
