
LINCOLNTON, N.C.– A Lincoln County woman was arrested during an undercover drug bust.
Officers were able to obtain a search warrant after they say she sold drugs to an undercover officer. Police say they found 1.3 grams of methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia and 3.4 grams of a counterfeit crystallized substance. Investigators later learned that the suspect had also been selling the counterfeit substance as methamphetamine.
Kimberly Lynn Bivens, 40, of Betterbrook Lane, Lincolnton, NC was charged with one felony count each of Possession with the Intent to Manufacture, Sell and Deliver a Controlled Substance Schedule II, Sell and Deliver a Controlled Substance Schedule II and Maintaining a Dwelling/Vehicle for a Controlled Substance. Charges are pending on the counterfeit substance.
Bivens was placed in the Harven A. Crouse Detention Center under a $10,000 secured bond and had a first appearance hearing Wednesday in Lincoln County District Court.
