MINT HILL, N.C. — Police made an arrest in a sexual assault case that happened at a Mint Hill retirement center.
Investigators say an 86-year-old resident at Lawyers Glen Retirement Living Center was assaulted by Willie Shaw Jr, 43, of Mint Hill.
The victim was taken to a local hospital on May 15th with injuries consistent with being sexually assaulted. Β The victim died two days later.
Shaw has been charged with first degree sex offense. Β Shaw was an employee at the facility when the incident took place. Β
