Man Arrested For Biting Woman After His Dog Bit Her Child

ROCK HILL, S.C. — Police arrested a Rock Hill man for biting a woman after she confronted him because his dog bit her son.

Police were called to a home on McDow Drive in reference to a dog attack.  Investigators say Errick Williams’ dog bit a child at the residence.  Williams is accused of leaving the home with his dog and walking down the street before police arrived on the scene.

The child’s mother, Katie Hefner, attempted to stop Williams from getting away but she claims Williams turned his dog loose in her direction.  Hefner says she was able to step on the dog’s leash to gain control of the dog but Williams confronted her and bit her in the arm.  Police said Hefner had a bit mark on her arm.

Williams was arrested and charged with assault and possession of marijuana.  He allegedly admitted to police that his dog did bit the child and that he did bite the child’s mother.  The child was not seriously injured.  Hefner was treated by EMS for a minor injury.
