Rising Celebrates CMPD’s Officers Of The Month

CHARLOTTE, NC — Rising is celebrating local police officers who are going above and beyond the call of duty.
This month CMPD is recognizing four officers.
Hickory Grove Division officers Harlan Proctor, Scott Evett, and Ashley Brown have been collecting items for the children who’s mother was murdered in front of them back in April. The man responsible did it by setting their East Charlotte home on fire.
The girls escaped, but were left with no one and nothing but the clothes on their backs. These officers have made headlines for the compassion they have and are showing for these victims.
The fourth officer will be highlighted tomorrow for his contributions to his local community, so be sure to tune in to Rising!
