FORT MILL, S.C. — Police are investigating the first homicide of the year in Fort Mill after a man’s body was found laying on the ground near a church.
Investigators say someone called police around 6am to report a body laying on the ground near Jerusalem Baptist Church on Steele Street.
Police say 29-year-old La’Charles Govan was shot to death. Police are trying to determine if he was shot at that location. No suspects have been arrested at this time.
