Two attorneys have issued apologies for lawsuits filed against two Hollywood executives who the attorneys claimed sexually abused a former aspiring actor in 1999.

Attorney Jeffrey Herman on Friday apologized to Garth Ancier and David Neuman for suing on behalf of his former client, Michael Egan. Attorney Mark Gallagher on Thursday apologized to Ancier for his part in Egan’s lawsuit.

The attorneys in letters of apology say they believe the allegations were false.

The lawsuits filed in Hawaii were dismissed last year.

Ancier was a high-ranking executive at the NBC, Fox and WB networks. Neuman also is a former TV executive.

Both men countersued Egan for malicious prosecution.

Ancier’s spokesman, Davidson Goldin, says in a statement that the apologies to Ancier were accompanied by a monetary payment in seven figures.
