(AP) β€” LeBron James shot just 11 of 34 from the field but finished with 39 points, 16 rebounds and 11 assists as the Cleveland Cavaliers beat Golden State 95-93 to even in the NBA Finals at a game apiece. Timofey Mozgov (TIM’-oh-fay MAHZ’-gahv) had 17 points and 11 boards for the Cavaliers, who improved to 3-0 without Kyrie Irving in the playoffs. The Cavs led 83-72 with 3:13 left in regulation before the Warriors closed the fourth quarter on a 15-4 run to force OT.

PARIS (AP) β€” Eighth seed Stan Wawrinka (vah-VRINK’-ah) pulled off a big upset in the men’s final at the French Open, knocking off top-seed Novak Djokovic (NOH’-vak JOH’-kuh-vich) 4-6, 6-4, 6-3, 6-4. The victory is Wawrinka’s second in a Grand Slam event, and his first since last year’s Australian Open. The French title is the only major Djokovic has not won.

ATLANTA (AP) β€” Gerrit Cole is the National League’s first nine-game winning of the season, improving 9-2 with a league-low 1.73 ERA after allowing six hits over seven innings of Pittsburgh’s 3-0 shutout of Atlanta. The Pirates’ ace has tossed seven shutout innings in each of his last two starts, and hasn’t allowed more than three runs in any of his 12 appearances this season. He joins Seattle’s Felix Hernandez as the majors’ only nine-game winners.

LONG POND, Pa. (AP) β€” Martin Truex Jr. led 97 of 160 laps in winning Sunday’s Sprint Cup race at Pocono Raceway. Truex had gone two years without a victory before becoming the 10th driver to qualify for the Chase for the Sprint Cup championship. Kevin Harvick was second, followed by Jimmie Johnson, Joey Logano and Kurt Busch.

DUBLIN, Ohio (AP) β€” David Lingmerth was able celebrate his first PGA victory after knocking in a par putt on the third playoff hole to outlast Justin Rose at the Memorial. Lingmerth led at the midway point of the tournament but began the final round three shots back before firing a 3-under 69 for a 15-under total. Masters champion Jordan Spieth (speeth) closed with a 65 and wound up in a tie for third with Francesco Molinari of Italy at minus-13.
