Undercover Officers Arrest Four Suspects In Drug Roundup

LINCOLNTON, NC– Lincoln County Sheriffs say undercover drug operations led to four separate arrests Wednesday.

Authorities say tips and complaints from citizens led to them confiscating trafficking amounts of Meth and opium based pills sold to undercover officers by the suspects.

Narcotics investigators say they arrested Alan Clark Dorsey, 45, Daniel Marcel Poovey, 45, Angela Elaine Watts, 39, and Michael Thomas Closky, 19, during the undercover operation.

Dorsey was charged with one felony count each of possession with intent, selling and delivering schedule IV and felony possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana.

Poovey was charged with two felony counts of selling and delivering a controlled substance and facing charges for selling and delivering schedule IV controlled substance and possession with intent to manufacture.

Watts was charged with two counts of trafficking opium or heroin, one count of conspiracy, selling a controlled substance schedule II, possession with intent to manufacture schedule IV.

Closky was charged with one felony count of conspiracy to traffic opium heroin.

All suspects will appear in Lincoln County District Court Thursday.
