CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A judge refused to reduce the bond for mother, Chantee Boyd, after killing her three-year-old son in a drunk driving car crash.

The crash happened early Sunday on Billy Graham Parkway in Southwest Charlotte.

Police say Boyd was speeding and lost control hitting a guardrail and slamming head on into another vehicle.

Boyd, her seven-year-old son and the other driver have minor injuries.

Boyd’s bond has been set at $500,000.
