SouthPark Mall Announces Major Renovations Plans

CHARLOTTE, NC– SouthPark mall, owned by Simon, announced that they will begin a series of interior and exterior renovations that will include improvements to enhance the overall shopping and dining experience.

Simon, the global leader in retail real estate, said they are scheduled to begin the improvements/renovations in June.

The company says they plan to start with an extensive interior makeover, including refinished columns, luxury soft seating and lounging areas with enhanced WI-Fi, upgraded flooring and furniture in the Dining Pavilion and updated signage.

Exterior enhancement will also be made to the mall’s main entrance on Sharon Road that will include painting, new canopies, landscaping, additional seating, upgraded lights around fountains and a redesigned valet stand.

Plans also include two-sided gas fireplaces on the West Plaza near Dick’s and the Dining Pavilion
