Charleston Shooting Suspect Waives Extradition

SHELBY, NC – Charleston church shooting suspect Dylann Roof, was held at Shelby Police Department before his extradition hearing at the Shelby courthouse. During the hearing, 21-year-old Roof waived his right to extradition, meaning he’ll be headed back to Charleston.
Dylann Roof wore a bullet proof vest as he exited the Shelby Police Department. Escorted by two officers to a nearby police cruiser, he remained silent as onlookers and media hurled questions his way. Roof is now on board a small airplane heading to Charleston.
